| Durrës is the second largest city of Albania located on the central Albanian coast, about 33 km (21 mi) west of the capital Tirana. Durrës hast he largest harbour in Albania linking the country mainly to the Italian harbour cities e.g. Bari, Ancona to which ferries run daily to several times a day. The city has several beaches which are a popular destination for foreign and local tourists, with an estimated 600,000 tourists per year.
